I’m a caffeine-addicted tech-junkie but that on its own does’n make a living so I’m also a software engineer currently employed by iDirect UK (part of VT iDirect), a company responsible for  SatManage. I enjoy building stuff, investigating new technologies and general hacking (as in solving problems not bringing your site down or reading your email). I’m generally interested in all areas related to technology and I’m pretty crazy about all the ‘webby’ stuff. I’m also following the  fascinating start-ups scene without really getting much involved… yet!

Why blog?

Three reasons really:

  1. To dump my 95% finished, usually a bit-less-than-useful applications, proof of concepts and code snippets. Otherwise my code gets lost with yet another hard drive failure that is scheduled to happen on the day that I least expect it. If you find them helpful, relevant, or interesting that’s even better!
  2. To  share my ideas be it an idea for a startup that would probably fail, an application that only I (and perhaps few selected geeks) would use or a concept that cannot yet exists due to various insignificant setbacks such as the fact that we’re yet to discover a pocket-sized nuclear reactor. I know it doesn’t work this way but please let me know if you find out that my idea is actually worth something.
  3. To criticize, praise or comment (but mostly just criticize) some of the the news in tech world that I find interesting.
